This package comes as part of Origin Storage&#8217;s Enigma range which includes the Acronis True Image solution.  This package can capture an operating system, including applications, settings and data. The tool will allow users to easily migrate from their existing system to a new SED.</p>
<p>The package comes with a kit that includes a USB / SATA data transfer cable for ease of installation. Once the image has been migrated, Origin Storage customers can also use encryption capabilities to lock down the data on their SEDs. The encryption data comes courtesy of Winmagic.</p>
<p>Andy Cordial, managing director at Origin Storage, explains: &#8220;Our aim is to provide a complete solution to enable businesses to migrate their system from one source to another. This can sometimes be a complicated process, which is why we have created this package. We looked at several imaging vendors, but Acronis was the obvious choice for its ease of use and reliable technology.&#8221;</p>
<p>David Blackman, general manager Northern Europe at Acronis, said: &#8220;As the demand for self encrypted drives continues to rise, Acronis True Image HD has become the preferred solution for vendors like Origin Storage who want to give their customers a proven, reliable product that helps users make the most of their technology investment.&#8221;</p>
<p>All three drives come in a 2.5 inch form factor and use 256-bit AES hardware encryption. The drives start at £249 for a 160GB version, and span up to 500 GB for £299.</p>

<p>Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire (PRWEB) August 18, 2009 &#8212; Staffordshire&#8217;s <a title="Parker Software" href="http://www.parker-software.com" target="_blank">Parker Software</a> has recently won a contract to supply their <a title="WhosOn" href="http://www.whoson.com" target="_blank">WhosOn</a> Web Visitor Tracking technology to Food Services and Facilities Management company Sodexho which employs 355,000 people across 80 countries.<br />
Keeping IT systems up and running and secure through strong security controls is considered critical by successful large organisations like Sodexho, particularly when employee internet activity is conducted across multiple locations and countries.</p>
<p>This led to the decision to install the WhosOn software to observe the company&#8217;s employee internet activity. WhosOn has been used on a total of ten Internet Information Services (IIS) Servers monitoring user activities in a non-intrusive system that complements existing security systems and enables the company to create reports which can be interrogated either on a daily basis or over a longer period of time. The reports created are also used for Sarbanes Oxley audits for compliance in combating fraud and alerting the company to any irregularities.</p>
<p>If an investigation is needed the software can produce results in a few mouse clicks, rather than the average of 2-3 man-days. This, when coupled with the clear communication of an organisation&#8217;s security policy, provides strong controls against computer and systems misuse and where such misuse does occur, provides clear and accurate evidence.</p>

<p>One of the key features improved in version 5 that attracted Sodexho to the product is a redesign to the backend database to offer better performance, better reporting and lower disk space usage for the same number of visitors.</p>
<p>In relation to improvement to Visitor Tracking there is improved spider detection plus the ability to add custom spider user agents to the database. Web owners can also now monitor visitors on-line form entries in real time and the new version also allows anonymous proxy server detection i.e. visitors are flagged if they are using an anonymous proxy server.</p>
<p>All of the updates and new features are available immediately for all customers with current support contracts in place and without any additional fees. <p>T-Plan Ltd (T-Plan), the UK based Integration and Test Management company, is pleased to announce that it has acquired VNCRobot, a test automation solution. Terms were not disclosed. This solution is highly complementary to the T-Plan Quality Solutions suite as it addresses the next logical step in the Testing Process. VNCRobot technology automates the actions of the end user, enabling highly manual elements of the testing process to be automated, dramatically reducing the regression testing cycle and replacing highly labour intensive manual activity with an efficient automated process.</p>
<p>VNCRobot has received over 4,300 unique downloads per year from the VNCRobot site alone. As a result of this acquisition, T-Plan will benefit from:<br />
•	an &#8216;end to end&#8217; product portfolio. Dealing with Requirements Integration into Test Management and then optimizing the testing with efficient Test Automation;<br />
•	a larger combined customer base, including a significant number of blue-chip organisations;<br />
•	greater penetration of the strategically important US technology market;<br />
•	greater scale which will enable the enlarged company to better meet the growing demands of the combined customer base;</p>
<p>Commenting on the acquisition, Steve Marshall, Chief Executive Officer of T-Plan, said: &#8220;T-Plan sees significant value for customers and shareholders as a result of this deal. Acquiring the VNCRobot Automation business is a logical extension to our existing proposition, and we see strong growth potential in this market&#8221;.
